Music Reflection semester 2

January '09

This month is the first time we had music class. The first time we had it, we had a vocal test just to make sure if our voice is suitable enough for the vocal class.
then, we chose our instrument. i chose vocal because i wanted to learn more on it, on how am i supposed to make my voice reach high notes and more. In that month we learn some tricks in vocal class as well...

February '09

In this month, we picked our group (jesslyn,yuli,andrea,janice,reynerd) to make our group presentation about asian music. My group chose india to be our topic. First step, we make our guiding question and the things we wanted to learn in this project.
After the presentation, we make our individual paper, which consist of the same things that we explained in the presentation earlier. but then, the paper is much more detailed.
My class mates made questions about the Asian music and some of our friends ask those question to our other class mates just so we are clear about not only the country that we researched, but also the others.

March '09

In this month, we focused on the topic named "petatonic scale". We made some music bars based on the petatonic note number 1 and 2. The teacher thought us on how to make some petatonic bars good. which are using the A, A accent, B, A accent rule. We also learn C major scale, G major scale, D major scale, and other scales.......
We discussed this topic over and over. I understand this topic very well, at least i think i do.

April '09

In the theory session, we learn about petatonic scale again and we put the bars we made as a homework with the lyrics done printed from a software called finale. it was our homework to install it in our computer.
And, we also learn transposition from c major to g major. We transposed a song... it was kind of hard but i think i got the hang of it....(:
